wimbledon, a fourth round update! - 02 Jul 2007
Andy did not get to play his fourth round against Paul-Henri Mathieu today due to heavy rain and frequent showers. However, he will probably be on Centre Court tomorrow to play.
Though, this is Wimbledon and they will probably decide that once again, the women's matches are more important than the men's.
wimbledon, through to round four! - 30 Jun 2007
With a 6-3 6-4 7-6 (2) win over Verdasco, Andy came from a break down in the third set to beat Verdasco over fast fading light at the All England Club. This also means he will be gaining points from his result last year, which is always a bonus!
In the fourth round, Andy will play Paul-Henri Mathieu on Monday for a spot in the quarter-finals. However, Andy has a tough task ahead of him. He has a 0-1 record against the Frenchman, having lost to him in Montreal two years ago.
wimbledon: into round three! - 27 Jun 2007
As I've been at Wimbledon for the last couple of days, I haven't updated with Andy's results.
On Monday, Andy played his first round match against fellow American Justin Gimblestob, which he won 6-1 7-5 7-6. In his post match interview he joked that before the match they had made a bet to how many dives they could make during the match, and seemed generally happy with the result and said his level of play got better towards the end of the match.
Today Andy played Danai Udomchoke from Thailand and won 6-3 6-4 7-6. Though he did get the win in the end, his play was patchy though again, it got better towards the end of the match, finally finding his forehand.
On Friday, Andy will play Fernando Verdasco from Spain. They have played eight times and Andy leads the head to head 6-2 though they have never played on grass.
the wimbledon draw - 22 Jun 2007
The Wimbledon draw was released earlier today, and Andy is in he top half of the draw, seeded to meet Roger Federer in the semi-finals, and Murray in the quarter-finals if the seeding goes to plan. In the last four years, they are the only two players to beat Andy at Wimbledon, and the only current players on tour who have done.
His first round opponent is Justin Gimblestob, who recently tipped Andy to do well at Wimbledon. Here's hoping that his tip pays off. If you'd like to see the rest of the draw, please click here.
Andy will be playing on the first Monday, though the time and court is as yet, unknown.
a few articles :) - 21 Jun 2007
Since Andy won his fourth title at Queen's Club, there have been several interesting articles written about him, the state of his game, and his chances at Wimbledon. These links are just the best of the bunch.
Andy's Reappearing Act talks (mostly) about Andy's personality and what it brings to the game of tennis.
Roddick, not Nadal, is Federer's Wimbledon shadow - some nice comments from a tennis pro and Andy himself.
Finally, a real site update! - 18 Jun 2007
Over the weekend I have been adding little bits and pieces to the site. The videos page has Andy's introduction and interview on the British chat show, Late Night With Jonathan Ross, and the quotes page has also been updated with several of Andy's more recent quotes. I have several more video clips to upload along with an updated biography over the next few days.
king of queens once more! - 17 Jun 2007
After 2 hours and 12 minutes, Andy was crowned king of Queens' once again, with a record equalling fourth tournament win over Nicolas Mahut. The match was incredibly tense, Andy eventually prevailing 4-6 7-6 (7) 7-6 (2).
It is his first title this year, and hopefully it will lead to several more. The win also means he has won at least one title for the last seven years.
queens, back into the finals! - 16 Jun 2007
Some signs of good form shoed today against Tursunov, resulting in a 6-4 7-5 win for Andy. Not only does he gain points for reaching the finals, he has a chance to equal the record four trophies that have been won at Queens (McEnroe, Becker, Hewitt). Tomorrow he will play Nicolas Mahut, who Andy has a 1-0 head to head against.
queens, semi-finals - 16 Jun 2007
As I've been at Queens' for the last few days, I haven't had time to update.
Andy defeated Bogdanovic on Wednesday and Cilic on Friday to move into the semi-finals, where he will be playing Dmitry Tursunov. He has a 1-1 head to head record with Tursunov, with Tursunov winning the last match in the Davis Cup last year. Hopefully Andy will get some revenge, though he'll definitely have to improve his play.
queens, round 2 - 12 Jun 2007
Andy won his first match at Queens today, with a 6-4 6-4 win over Radek Stepanek. He didn't face a break point in the entire match.
On Thursday Andy will play one of two British wildcards. Although the crowd will be against him, hopefully it won't affect his performance.

It's really hard to try and kick someone's ass who you like so much!
This site is completely fan made and is non-profit. I do not know Andy Roddick, nor do I have any contact with him, and I am definitely not Andy! If I was, I'd be better at tennis than I am. And also male. Any mail sent to me for Andy will be trashed. All graphics and coding belong to Holly unless otherwise specified. Please do not steal.
